Smart + Strong, the publisher of award-winning, community-focused health magazines and websites, announced today the promotion of Bob Barnett to editor-in-chief of Cancer Health, which is published for people living with and affected by cancer.

In his new role, Barnett oversees the Cancer Health print magazine and the CancerHealth.com website. In addition, he will continue serving as executive editor for all Smart + Strong brands.

“I’m thrilled to expand my role at an established organization with over 25 years of experience empowering people to live and thrive with various health conditions,” said Barnett. “I am also excited to have the responsibility of extending the reach of Cancer Health into quality of life issues.”

Barnett is a health editor, writer and author with over 30 years of experience. Prior to joining Smart + Strong in 2018, he was editor-in-chief of the Bottom Line Personal newsletter and an editor for BottomLineInc.com. His previous roles include director of health content for iVillage.com, features editor for Miavita.com, editor-in-chief of MD Minute and health editor of Parenting magazine. Barnett also authored, coauthored and edited books on nutrition.
